Cyprus Beaches
Did you know that our beaches and the sea are among the cleanest in Europe, and even in the world? In 2019, 65 beaches in Cyprus received the Blue Flag award. The Blue Flag is an internationally recognized eco-label operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education in Copenhagen, Denmark. To qualify for this prestigious award, a beach must meet and maintain a series of strict environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria.
Accessibility for All
More and more Cypriot beaches offer facilities for people with disabilities. These include special ramps with a wheelchair that goes straight into the sea or so-called floating wheelchairs. Beaches such as Pernera, Agia Triada, Fig Tree Bay, Louma, Yianna Mari, Nissi Beach, Lanta, and Macronissos offer such amenities.
Protaras Beach
Along the Promenade
The longest beach in the region, stretching from the entrance near Yianna Mari hotel to Fig Tree Bay. The entire promenade is a fantastic walking path with various restaurants and bars, offering something for everyone. The beach also features several water sports points and even massage stations.
Fig Tree Bay
The Scent of the Fig Tree
Fig Tree Bay
At the end of the promenade, there is a beach that ranked third among the world’s 50 best beaches in 2019. Wonderful Fig Tree Bay is a must-visit on every Cyprus holiday. Be sure to swim around the small island – you’ll encounter schools of small and large fish around it.

Fig Tree Bay
Green Bay
A Green Underwater World
The beach’s name comes from the wonderful marine vegetation, making you feel as though you’re on an underwater meadow. Here, you can spot the huge turtle called Marianna. The beach is great for little ones due to its calm waters and shallow depth. Even in the shallow water near the bay walls, you can observe schools of small, shimmering fish.
Konnos Bay
A Beach in the National Park
One of the most beautiful beaches, well-hidden in Cape Greco Park. The road to it winds through lush vegetation, and at the bottom, tourists are greeted by azure waters and incredibly calm seas. Interestingly, half of the beach belongs to Paralimni, while the other half belongs to Agia Napa – look carefully at the markings on the sunbeds and umbrellas. You can start a walk to the Cyclops Cave from here or head toward the Agios Anargyros church.

Nissi Beach
Cyprus' Most Famous Beach
Everyone has heard of the magnificent Nissi Beach in Agia Napa! White sand, a large shallow area in the sea, an island, and a pathway to it when the water level drops. For those craving entertainment, there are bars and music. This beach has been repeatedly named one of the most beautiful and best beaches in the world in various polls. Anyone visiting Cyprus must also visit this beach.
Makronissos Beach
Three Bays
Makronissos is located 5 km from the center of Agia Napa. The beach consists of three bays, oriented in different directions: west, southwest, and southeast. The beach connects with Landa Beach and Nissi Beach via a charming walking path. History lovers can explore the nearby Makronissos Necropolis with tombs from the Hellenistic and Roman eras.

Fireman's Beach
Nearby...
Our local Fireman’s Beach, also known as MAAD, is located in a picturesque bay. It’s very popular among locals and tourists staying in Kapparis. Cliffs rise above the beach with a fantastic walking path from which you can admire the sunrise and the azure sea. On the cliff above the beach is a fantastic bar offering snacks, breakfast, and drinks with a view of the beach and horizon. In the evening, it transforms into a cozy place with drinks and live music. Further along the coast, there is a wild and romantic beach with steep stairs leading down. Even farther, you will find Malama Beach with another seaside café. For those who enjoy swimming and observing underwater life, we recommend the route from one beach to another, where you might encounter turtles in addition to fish.
Golden Beach
At the End of Cyprus
At the end of Cyprus, in the Dikarpaz Peninsula, lies Golden Beach. This wild, deserted beach is rarely visited by tourists. It stretches for kilometers with white sand dunes shaped by the wind, untouched by human feet. The water is crystal clear and unspoiled. It feels like a deserted island. The journey to get here takes some time (it is in the occupied part of Cyprus), but the view is worth it.

Must See
And If Not the Beach?
Cyprus is not only about sand and sea – there are also many other interesting places to visit, not only historical but also natural wonders created by nature!
Cave Greco
A series of caves at Cape Greco, with views from the high cliffs (until recently, the bravest used to jump into the deep lagoon from here). You can also descend to the famous rock window.
Cape Greco
The highest part of Cape Greco offers not only long walking trails with amazing views, but also an unforgettable sunset admired from the very top of the hill. One of the trails leads around the entire Cape Greco.
Love Bridge
Right after Agia Napa, a stone path begins that leads almost to Cape Greco. At the very beginning of this path is the Love Bridge, under which tour boats pass, and daring souls jump into the sea.
